Straight To Video Russian Roulette

Freddy was supposed to watch Bit Parts, but he couldn’t find it. He picked up Dead Mary at the video store instead. Movie starts out promising. Cast of people in their mid 20’s are camping. They are sitting around a campfire, drinking some beer, and talking about sleep paralysis (which scares the shit out of Freddy). The discussion turns to Dead Mary aka Bloody Mary. Next thing you know, one of the cast turns up dead, then sits up and starts nagging everyone. Movie is taking a very bad turn. Movie had great promise, but then ended up not being believable.

Question: Chiseck won last week, but he isn’t here this week. Matt asked this week’s question. Matt has a Bottom 5 Movies of All Time list. Name two movies.

Answer: Batteries Not Included and The Pledge.

Amy lost and has to watch Are You Scared?

Main Topic

Compare/Contrast the original versus the remake of the Wicker Man.

The Wicker Man (1973) was a very original film. Even Matt liked it. Movie has some nudity (character Willow dances around while naked). Matt missed some of this cause he was busy making himself a M&M character online. This is a very trippy movie, but the crew recommends it. The movie ends with one of the most horrifying conclusions in a movie.

Christopher Lee in Drag = Cher.

The remake was horrible. Nicolas Cage can’t act his way out of a wet paper bag. This movie is a hunk of shit. This movie focuses on anti-women sentiment, and Nicolas Cage punches a lot of women.

  • The Movie Critic calls in to recommend the Wishmaster Series for review by the team. He’s also created a Night of the Living Podcast YouTube group. He also thinks that Phleghm is getting a little old.
  • Shaggy phones in to say that he was surprised that Die Blacula Die did not make it into the last episodes reviews for Black History Month. He states that all porn sucks and Phleghm should have his own segment.
